You know, as a pagan I don't believe in hell, but I'd almost be willing to start if those terrorists in Beslan were guaranteed to burn in it.

You're thinking of those virgins with eyes like black pearls, and the beds with frequent sheet change? *tiny g* Huh, they should in stead go back and read the descriptions of hell (I mean those passages in the Koran) more thoroughly, they always scare my students, and they, mostly, don't even believe in them.

This is what's so frightening, though. They've been taught by certain of their religious leaders that blowing themselves and others up and holding innocent children hostages will get them into paradise. They honestly think that by doing what they're doing they'll avoid hell.

It's really sad, and my guess is that their leaders have never hinted at the passages talking about predestination or that they should only fight in defence. Luckily, it seems that most muslim leaders here are as shocked as the rest of us at what is happening.
