Bittersweet, really. My parents and grand-parents used to have that kind of music playing on New Year's parties...
It was a long time ago...

I don't know much modern music since I rarely listen to the radio. But if something appeals, I'll ask :)

*nod* I understand the bittersweet feeling. My parents played a lot of big-band & jazz standards, which is probably why my music is heavily tipped that direction these days. Two of the songs that popped up in my ten today are both standards (4 & 7), so they're not new at all, though they are sung by contemporary artists. I tend to think of NS & IK listening to those sorts of songs as a compromise between Napoleon's taste and Illya's. :-)

My own taste is stuck on the 60s and 70s French and Quebecois singers :)
And some american folk singers of the same period...
