I guess it won't surprise you to know that the only piece I recognize was "Le reel du pendu" ?

I went in search of it... I hadn't heard reels in... decades....

That brings back memories...

I hope they are good memories. :) (BTW, If you ever want one of the songs I mention, let me know and I'll upload it for you. :))

Bittersweet, really. My parents and grand-parents used to have that kind of music playing on New Year's parties...
It was a long time ago...

I don't know much modern music since I rarely listen to the radio. But if something appeals, I'll ask :)
Thanks :)

*nod* I understand the bittersweet feeling. My parents played a lot of big-band & jazz standards, which is probably why my music is heavily tipped that direction these days. Two of the songs that popped up in my ten today are both standards (4 & 7), so they're not new at all, though they are sung by contemporary artists. I tend to think of NS & IK listening to those sorts of songs as a compromise between Napoleon's taste and Illya's. :-)

Yes, I can see NS and IK listening to this :)

My own taste is stuck on the 60s and 70s French and Quebecois singers :)
And some american folk singers of the same period...

Music?

Same here : if you'd like some Quebecois or French music, maybe I can upload some of mine (depending of what you like)

Times I thought to offer :)

I'm totally besotted with my new iPod nano and I adore the shuffle feature (I know I'm probably the last person on earth to discover this). I really enjpy the anticipation of waiting to see what it'll come up with next! The only thing about it I don't like are the ear-buds things. I guess I must have nano ear-holes, but they just keep falling out and I lose the little grey condom-thingies. Anyway, my selection du jour is:
Twilight - Antonio Forcioni
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin
Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes - Paul Simon
We Love You - Rolling Stones
Qui Tollis Peccata Mundi - Puccini (Messa di Gloria)
LIttle Sir Hugh - Steeleye Span
Aure deh per pieta - Andreas Scholl
Cold as Ice - Foreigner
I am a Rock - Simon and Garfunkel
Back in the USSR - the Beatles

Yes, the shuffle feature is really cool!

Wow, your tastes are as eclectic as mine. :D
