RIP Betty Friedan. I drink a toast in your honor, because things wouldn't be half as good as they are not if you hadn't been around. We've still got a long way to go, but damn, you made a difference, and you'll be missed.

I'm very bummed. Three incredible women, gone. And there don't seem to be successors waiting to step into their shoes, that's the saddest part.

Scarily enough, 2 out of 4 of the college age young women I was chatting with last night did not know who Betty Friedan was.

Nor how big a role she played in them -being- in college.

Talk about your unsung heroines.

I'll miss her.
