This was a fun quiz. :)

The English Teacher
You are 100% Verbose! Although you get bonus points just for finishing.
Okay, obviously you know a little too much about the English langauge. Do you wear a sweater vest, bemoan high school students' inability to write, and just generally act like a egotistical prick? If you said yes to one of the three, you might be an English teacher. In which case, it was unfair of you to take this test. (If you aren't an English teacher, maybe you should stop reading the thesaurus for sport.)
My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
free online datingfree online dating
You scored higher than 99% on Verbosity

I'm not an English teacher, but I do adore words. They are the love of my life.

Unsurprisingly, I got the same score. The really obnoxious thing is that the test was easy. I'm sure you felt the same way, and I'll bet most of the friends we have in common would, too.

Yes, I do agree. It was WAY too easy. And I suspect you're right. But it was still kinda fun. :)

Yeah, I thought it was pretty easy myself...although I missed one. Although considering I've had a couple glasses of wine that's maybe not so bad. *g*

I got 100% too, though only a 75% "or higher" on verbosity. :( I have to laugh at the typo in the results sentence, though: "langauge"?

The more people in your age group who take the test, the lower that score will be. :-)

And yes, amusing. :)

Yup. Easy.

And did you notice? They spelled 'language' wrong.

From: [identity profile] kelliem.livejournal.com

I did. *snerk* It's like how one always makes some stupid grammatical mistake when one rants about other people's grammar. ;-D

Hey, I see you're listening to Rod Stewart's version of Night and Day! Is that from Great American Songbook II? I've been considering getting that. Is it worth it?

From: [identity profile] kelliem.livejournal.com

It's actually from GAS:III, but I also have GAS:II. I think his voice is extremely well suited to Jazz Standards, I *love* these CDs. I'm going to have to get GAS:I too. :)

Of the two CDs I have, I'd say II is slightly better than III, but mostly because I really love the duet he does with QUeen Latifah on "As Time Goes By." The duet with Cher on "Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered" is a close second. Both are on II.

I have GAS:I, but I've misplaced it. :( I think I took it out to my car when my friend was supposed to install my CD player. It's probably under one of the seats.

RS does do a great job with them. I love these old songs. I have a CD of Fred Astaire songs and I think he had a lovely voice too, though he's always (understandably) associated with dancing. Have you ever heard his song "The Way You Look Tonight"? (Not to be confused with the later song of the same name.)

I got the same result, but only 0% on verbosity :(
But only on the graph...

Yet, it says I am probably an English teacher *snerk* and the verbiage says that I scored 100%

Go figure :)

Ah!
Thanks :)

And I didn't find it that hard at all, even for a non-English speaker :)

SG-1 eps

Hey there! This comment is totally unrelated to this LJ post, but I have to be wary of sending fannish e-mail at work, so LJ is my method of communication.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten the SG-1 eps I said I'm get to you. I just got blindsided by a three day SG-1 con and some work issues.

ttyl!
