In honor of Inauguration Day, on behalf of myself and a goodly percentage of my fellow Americans, I hereby apologize to all of my international friends in advance for the next 4 years. :-P

In other, more positive news, the Canadian military has okayed gay weddings.
OTTAWA -- Gay and lesbian army couples can now get married on military bases. The Canadian Forces has quietly drafted a policy calling for military chaplains to formally bless same-sex weddings. Guidelines - considered "interim" until the federal government passes a law redefining marriage - outline the process for pre-nuptial counselling and using the on-base chapel for same-sex ceremonies.

And YAY, Canada!
I'm avoiding as much talk of the events here as possible. Not reading news sites, not watching TV coverage. Just keeping my head down and hoping we can make it through the next 4 years.
The upside - since many of my clients work in DC proper - everyone's off today, so I can get some catch-up work done.
