Okay, I know it could have happened to anyone (myself included since I speak no Polish), but this story really made me ROFL! "Details of how police in the Irish Republic finally caught up with the country's most reckless driver have emerged." ;D

In other news, I am fairly pleased with the Top Chef Final Three, as I like both Carla and Hosea! If either of them wins, I'll be happy. My only complaint is that they didn't send that arrogant jerk Stefan home instead of Fabio. I felt really badly for Fabio, especially with his mom so ill. And poor Jeff, he looked really devastated when they announced Carla as the winner. It would be awful to be brought back just long enough to get your hopes up and then... blam. Rollercoaster emotions. (Also, I laughed at the look Stefan and Hosea exchanged after Jeff's comment about making sausage rather than using pre-made!) Is it just me or did it look like both Leah and Jamie look like they'd had makeovers or something? Maybe it's just the lack of stress from being away from the show for a while.

One of these days I want to go to Jax and try some of Hosea's food-- unfortunately I don't like eating alone, which means finding someone who likes a) seafood and b) crowded restaurants, and I don't currently have anyone handy who meets both of those criteria. Unless maybe [livejournal.com profile] brynwulf wants to come up to Boulder for lunch one of these days...

I'm fairly happy with the Top Chef final 3 but I will miss Fabio and all his Fabio-isms. I'm officially on the Carla bandwagon now. I really want her to win.

I have to admit, I like Carla a lot, even though I feel like I have to root for my hometown boy. Carla seems to be the least pretentious and most... real... of all of them. Even though she's quirky. Or maybe because she's quirky!

*stands up* No, MY name is Prawo Jadzy.

I had no idea that there were lots of Polish immigrants in Ireland!

I just shared it with one of the lawyers at work who has been doing lots of traffic cases and she loved it.

I love Carla in all her quirky glory.

And I know I'm hardly close, but at some point I'll be in Boulder again and we can go to Jax. I don't mind crowded restaurants and I like seafood. Checking out the website it looks like a lot of fun!

I would love that! We'd probably have to go without [livejournal.com profile] ardent_muses, though. She's not a big seafood person, as I recall.

Plus I'm not sure she would enjoy a crowded small space.
