For those of you who are Joe Flanigan fans, he's apparently on head-to-head with himself tomorrow night (Friday, January 4th). He'll be in the new Stargate Atlantis ep on SciFi, opposite a guest role as an FBI dude on a new (and last new one for a while due to the writer's strike) ep of Women's Murder Club on ABC. Why do I find that oddly amusing? (Could possibly be in part because I still think he looks like the bastard love-child of David Duchovny and Kyan Douglas.)

And speaking of SGA folks, in other TV news, Paul McGillion will be in SciFi Channel's latest bad movie of the week on Saturday night. "Beyond Loch Ness." Looks like an instant classic. For MST3K anyway. ;D (I actually kind of get a kick out of these awful things-- they don't take themselves seriously. And SFC's current batch of commercials for 'the most dangerous night on television' are a hoot!)

The SciFi Channel has kind of taken up the banner of the B-movie, haven't they? All those low budget monster movies made for the drive-in crowd that MST3K used to skewer have been replaced by these wonderfully awful movies filmed in Bulgaria with low grade CGI replacing the rubber monster suits.

Yes! Either Bulgaria or the Czech Republic or some other Eastern European country. They're really quite fun. There was one on tonight that actually had a guy in a rubber monster suit instead of CGI!

Oh, and my 6 Degrees moment-- JF actually graduated no only from the University I work for, but from MY department! I sort of vaguely remember someone who looked like him coming in and dropping off papers and picking up advising/graduation stuff.
