kelliem: old-skool TV (tv)

Moonlight was... well, I know several people on my flist thought it sucked radioactive yellow rocks through a straw but I didn't think it was all that bad. I'll give it a couple more eps. Mostly 'cause it was Ron Koslow's concept and I was a big fan of Beauty and the Beast. Oh, and 'cause I liked Sophia Myles in Dr. Who. I have to admit I think Blood Ties was much better as far as vampire PIs go, right out of the gate. (And am looking forward to the second half of the BT season returning in October.)

SG:A They did a bang-up job on the season opener. I really liked Jewel Staite as Dr. Keller. She hit all the right notes. And Flanigan (who still reminds me of the bastard love-child of Kyan Douglas and David Duchovny) actually did some great acting when Keller told Sheppard about Elizabeth's prognosis. It was nice to see some emotion out of him. Jason Momoa did extremely well in his 'Elizabeth' scene, too. Hewlett was, as usual, awesome, and I am sure there was a Squee Heard 'Round The World when Rodney called Sheppard "John.' David Nykl was even awesomer than usual and y'all know I pretty much always think he's awesome. I even loved the bits with Dr. Lee and Sam Carter.

It will be very interesting to watch next week and see how they pull off the 'heist.'

*snerk* It's funny because it's TRUE!

(even if the Sheppard in my icon doesn't think so *g*)

SGA

Didn't watch Moonlight.

Nods. Jason Momoa did a great job there, because I thought it was a very sweet moment and generally I don't like Ronon.

My husband was watching Moonlight and I could hear it on the TV behind me. Suddenly, they cued up 'My Immortal' and I knew right then I could NEVER watch that show.

He tried to convince me it was like Forever Knight but no, it's not. Not with Evanescence music!

Dude, this so needed a spew warning. I was *just* about to take a big chug of milk and am VERY glad I stopped...otherwise, dead keyboard. ::g::

You totally crack me up. :)

I watched about 20 minutes of MOONLIGHT and was suddenly chanting, "Bored now," in my head. So that was a total miss for me. Liked the actor, but the script sucked, pardon the pun. Ended up just doing other things while it finished so I could record NUMB3RS.

SGA was very good, with lots of nice things for the fans, which is always a good thing.

My big whine about Friday is that there's nothing on I like to watch before 10 and both shows are on at the same time. Bugger that. I want SGA back where it belongs at 9.

I felt the same way about Moonlight. Not as bad as I expected but vampire detective has been done to death now (pun intended) and much better elsewhere. Heck, I think Forever Knight was still the best.

ditto to both of you. judging from my flist i thought it had to be horrendous but it was just semi-bad and slow...

and the music...argh

but i kind of liked the lead and the girl...

Moonlighting was "ok". I like the lead a lot, as well as his best friend.
Still find the "Vampire and Human Love interest" a bit boring. The music almost made me change the channel.
