Okay, I think I've finally a found a show I want to watch more than just casually this season.

I really enjoyed the premiere of Heroes. It has an unusually diverse cast for a mainstream American series, though as [livejournal.com profile] bethbethbeth points out, there is more diversity among the men than the women, at least in the first episode. There appear to be more characters to come and I hope that they maintain the diversity level. I loved the fact that the Japanese characters were actually speaking Japanese with subtitles, rather than English. Nice work. They did an amazingly good job of holding my interest even though pretty much the entire first episode was taken up with them trying to introduce about a dozen characters.

And, um, on the shallow front, Sendhil Ramamurthy is an exceptionally attractive guy who makes me feel like a dirty old lady, since he was born the year I graduated from high school. Ack.

Oh yes, he was quite tasty wasn't he? I had to flip between this and Runaway because Pokey is a fan of the Wahlburgs. I think next week I'll go upstairs and watch what I want, tonight I was just too lazy.

Very tasty. :-)

BTW, they're doing a reprise tomorrow night, and I read in someone's journal that it will regularly repeat on SciFi on Friday nights if you want to try and catch it uninterrupted. It also looks like they'll eventually have the pilot up on their website to watch here: http://heroes.nbc.com/

Ahhh! Thanks for this! I missed it last night and was hoping it would be replayed.

I was racking my brain trying to remember if I've ever seen a show that had a major character of Indian descent and couldn't come up with anything other than The Simpsons. Which doesn't really count.

We liked this one as well and will be keeping an eye on it. I tried to watch Brothers and Sisters (taped from Sunday night), but not sure I can watch Calista Flockhart every week again.

Did you watch Jericho last week?

Um, I repled to you with a new message, so you probably won't see it. Look down *points*.

I watched Jericho-- was surprised to find it watchable, since as I said in [livejournal.com profile] aukestrel's journal, usually when I watch something with Skeet Ulrich in it, I spend most of my time wishing he'd close his mouth when he's not speaking. Gah. Not a big Skeet Ulrich fan. He's sort of a cut-rate Johnny Depp.

Anyway, as I was saying before I got sidetracked, I actually kind of liked Jericho. I'll give it a shot. I just wish it wasn't on opposite Bones. It's so frustrating this year, everything I want to watch is on opposite something else I watch. On Mondays Vanished and Heroes are on opposite each other. On Tuesdays NCIS Eureka and House are ALL head-to-head (fortunately Eureka repeats 2 hours later). On Wednesdays Bones and Jericho are on at the same time. So annoying!

Besides the fact that I think Skeeter Ulrich is cute as a button, did you like it? I have to say it didn't "hook" me on the first episode, but I liked it enough to watch a couple more and see what happens.

I definitely want to watch more. I like the woman who plays Jake's mom, and I liked the kids in the schoolbus. But Gerald McRaney was definitely annoying me, so we'll see. *g*
