aukestrel and I just finished writing a story together. It was written for the midsummer2006 6 Degrees of Due South ficathon.

It's a crossover between two obscure Canadian TV movies, Getting Married in Buffalo Jump and Paris or Somewhere. Which is to say, it's an excuse to slash two pretty, pretty men (Paul Gross and Callum Keith Rennie).

It's slash, NC-17, ~34000 words.

I owe aukestrel a huge debt for getting me writing again.

Ok, in the big caps I agree. Something it being icon size makes it looks like a mini-fro wannabe. *G*

We better start planning lunch. Also, in October or late September I'm making a roadtrip to the Book Broker in Colorado Springs which lost its lease. Most of their books (which are already used and discounted) will be 50% off. Maybe we can get a carload?

Ooooh! I've only seen Buffalo Jump once (and remember nothing about it -- it's not the one with Maury Chaykin and the submarine, is it?) and I've never seen Paris or Somewhere. So YES! I'm printing the story as we speak, because it's you guys, and that's good enough for me.

No, no, that one with Maury and the sub is Buried on Sunday. This is the one with Wendy Crewson where Paul is a Ukrainian-Canadian rancher.

Isn't it neat? I can't take credit. I found the picture on a photosharing site, and I'm kicking myself for not bookmarking the site, it was one I hadn't seen before and it had tons of really fantastic photos on it from all over the world. I found the link in a newspaper article, and I can't even remember what newspaper it was now. Argh!
