Well, I sort of liked it.

Can't decide what to think of the Israeli chick. She was sort of obnoxious in a way that reminds me too much of the things I don't like about Tony, but it was kind of amusing to see her give him some of his own back with the 'women do that too' comment.

Lauren Holly's character was fine. Not sure what to think of her storied past with Gibbs. That could get old fast.

I liked the first two appearances by Spectre!Kate (to Gibbs and Abby), I thought they were moving, but hated the DiNozzo and McGee ones when it went right back to Fratboy Territory. I mean, seriously! That was completely inappropriate. The Ducky one was okay.

It was nice to see a lot of Ducky, and GERALD WAS BACK!!!!!!

I hope that means he will continue to be back. I wonder if they will alternate Jimmy and Gerald?

I guess I have to reserve judgement on the premiere over all until after the second part next week.

I will say that I am already sick of the slapping the back of the head thing.

I agree that the DiNozzo/McGee "visions" (for lack of a better word) were in very poor taste and horribly tacky. Especially McGee -- I thought we were supposed to think better of him?

Gah.

Israeli chick was thought-provoking. I guess we'll have to see who really knows Ari better -- her or Gibbs. My money's on Jethro. Just a hunch. *g*

I guess they can't let him be a better person than Tony or we'll all like him better. :-P

My money's on Jethro, too.

Yeah, what *was* up with that slapping the head? It was blatantly obvious they wanted you to notice it. And it seems that lots of shows are bringinng in a "woman from the past" for the main male character. It's boring and old and I don't like it.

Yeah. Not very creative at all. If they wanted sexual tension, it seems to me like bringing in a new woman Gibbs wants but can't have would work just as well.

I will say that the Mossad chick was just about as pushy and arrogant as every Israeli I've come in contact with in my job. Perhaps it's a function of living under constant attack; all I know is, the Israeli tourists who come here give authenticity to every overbearing Israeli stereotype I've ever read. I hate that it's true, but it is.

Interesting.

It probably has something to do with the Mossad constantly being touted as the best intelligence service in the world, too.

I'm ambivalent as of yet, but she reminded me a lot of Kate. A slightly different kind of snarkiness, but enough that I rolled my eyes at one point as I considered how predictable DPB is sometimes.

I am so torn over this! Last year at this time, I wanted Gerald back in a big way, but after a while I was really starting to like Jimmy. :( I actually saw slash potential there where I didn't for Ducky and Gerald. Ah, well...

I will say that I am already sick of the slapping the back of the head thing.

I totally second that.

I guess he figures don't screw with the formula.

I didn't like Jimmy at first, or even through most of the season last year, but he did finally grow on me a bit toward the end. I'm hoping they work it out so we get to see some of each of them.
