kelliem: sunglasses (sunglasses)

Feeling slightly better today. I am assuming that the antibiotics have, in addition to making me light-sensitive, kicked some microscopic bacterial butt because I haven't had a fever in 24 hours now. I think I overdid a little yesterday though, because today I've felt like I've been rode hard and put away wet. Hopefully now that I am not coughing every ten seconds the sore torso muscles will start to feel better. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] wenchita I discovered the joys of Mucinex and it's made a huge difference today. I am actually breathing 90% of the time instead of wheezing. :-)

In celebration of my partial recuperation I took the Alcohol Quiz... not too surprised by the results. I don't drink a lot but I have very definite preferences (red wine, beer you can chew, and single-malt Islay scotch) and I am a trivia whore so I tend to remember everything I ever heard or read about liquor. Score behind the

Bourbon
Congratulations! You're 123 proof, with specific scores in beer (20) , wine (16), and liquor (69).

Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the
bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild
Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know
how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 54% on proof
You scored higher than 84% on beer index
You scored higher than 83% on wine index
You scored higher than 90% on liquor index

Glad you're feeling better today.

Your alcohol tastes are very like mine - what Islay malt do you like? I'm a fan of Bowmore. I actually used this malt in a MFU story *g* as part of the plot because of the strong, peaty taste.

Laphroaig is my favorite. Speaking of strong and peaty. :)

As strange as it could be I like the same Islay pure malt; don't remember a precise name but it is really peaty smelling.

We're hoping you feel all strong and peaty soon. Did you at least NOT GO TO WORK???

Strong and peaty! Hee!

I did not go to work 90% of last week. I did go to work today but with the caveat that I may go home early if I need to. :)

Why yes, I am reading LJ at work, why do you ask? ;-D
