tanacawyr alerted me to this: there's a guy in England ripping fanfic to CD and selling it. I saw a lot of familiar author names there, including a_mews, maygra, astolat (in a previous incarnation), and myself, among many others.

As soon as I saw what was going on, the first thing that came to mind is the disclaimer we all have to stamp on our stuff. Making a profit from other peoples published works is illegal. Therefore, what he is doing is illegal. I decided to see how you pay the guy and it took me to: https://secured.com/

Well, it's not just fanfic he's selling, either. He's got stuff I recognize from alt.sex.stories listed for sale. That's some pair of cojones he's got....

Apparently, he's also selling copyrighted stuff from Playboy and Penthouse, too. O:-) I wonder if alerting their legal teams might have an effect? d_and_cats suggested it, and I think his "nuts in a vice by morning" comment stands a good chance, m'self.
