Thanks for posting the links, Kellie, although it's so horrible to read about this film disaster that my stomach hurt. I do hope the series won't reach any channel I can watch, so I can just stay in denial.

I'd read her earlier statement, and reading this one really does make my blood boil. Earthsea deserves so much better. Fans of the book definitely deserve more. I should really write to SciFi and express my utter disdain. For one thing, they need to put their money into projects that honor and celebrate written SF and Fantasy, not crap that diminishes the great works of the genre.
