kelliem: icy lakefront sunrise (what?)
([personal profile] kelliem Nov. 23rd, 2004 10:51 am)
I just decided to start going through some of the stacks of stuff that my predecessor had saved 'to be filed.' I swear the woman saved every freakin' piece of paper that ever crossed her desk. In fact, she saved paper copies of every electronic 'Campus Bulletin' (a daily email we get listing campus events, etc.) she ever got, and zillions of old financial reports (if we ever need a report from a specific date all we have to do is get on the financial system and run one, there is absolutely no need to keep copies...), and copies of emails, and copies of various newsletters, 5 or 6 copies of various procedure documents... I can't believe the complete trash she saved. I've just finished filling 2 'case' paper boxes with this stuff to be recycled, and I still have more to go but I'm calling a moratorium for the day and will do more tomorrow. I had known she was a little odd (though very good with finances), but now I see it was more than a little. I think she must have been an obsessive/compulsive hoarder.

ETA: Just took the '7 Deadly Sins quiz' gakked from [livejournal.com profile] sarudy and hey, whaddayaknow? I got lust *again*. Big surprise. But nice graphic. :)

Well, OCD and OCHD are slightly different animals, and there's some argument as to whether OCHD is a syndrome of its own or a symptom of OCD experienced by a little less than half of sufferers, usually older adults... (shut up, Cord) Anyway, you might just be right.

Or she might just be somebody who was uncomfortable with computers. In any case, good on you for the massive cleaning project.

Regarding the quiz, I came up only 69% lustful. You must read more romance novels than I do.

Good thing I'm not a psychiatrist. :-)

And yes, I am sure I read many more romance novels than you do. :-)
