Not only is she cool, but she is wise in the ways of laptops and performed arcane mysteries upon it (removed the battery and put it back in) and lo! It has arisen from the grave!
Our children have no fear of technology, do they? Just an affinity. My poor old laptop won't even start up unless plugged into the mains these days, and if I use her on battery power, she lasts all of three minutes :-(
It has to be mystical powers, because when something malfuncitons, I try what I think is right (press buttons, shake the keyboard, restart, yell curses, you know - - everything)and it won't work. Then my son comes in and does exactly the same things - and voila! it works. And drives me crazy.
