Don't you have to have had some judicial experience in order to be appointed to the Supreme Court?

He's the attorney general isn't he? Don't remember what his experience is, but I've read this theory elsewhere on the net.

If not the Supreme Court, there must be something waiting for him ---Bushie has something in mind. Why else would Ashcroft leave?
