Sounds like if you plan to vote, you should be prepared to be challenged. Make sure you have ID with you, and if your state or county (like mine) allows you to check your registration status online, check yours and print a copy to take to the polls with you. Here's a website that will allow Colorado residents to look up their registration status.

I mailed my absentee ballot a good two weeks ago; I hope it arrived safely.

Boulder is such a liberal enclave I doubt that you will have any problems with your vote not being recorded.

And yes, it is her first presidential election. It's interesting, up until now she's been totally apolitical, but this year she not only made sure she was registered, but she's been nagging all of her friends to register and vote as well.
