Our beloved cat, Charcoal, passed away last February at the age of 14. 10 months is long enough to mourn, and too long to go catless, so we went to the humane society today. There were several wonderful cats there, but one in particular stole our hearts. His name (at the moment) is "Simba" and he's a 12-week-old silver tabby with the most beautiful gold and green eyes and classic tabby markings that fade away into silvery fur. We have him 'on hold' while we get our housemate to go in and meet him, and wait for the landlord to okay us getting a new cat, but hopefully the weekend after Christmas we will have a new addition to the household. Amber thinks we should change his name to Mikage (mih-kah-gay) which means 'honorable shadow' in Japanese. We'll see how he likes it. :-)
