Ashes to Ashes question

I've been catching up on series/season two of Ashes to Ashes, and there's something that's driving me nuts. I can't remember why Gene started calling Alex "Bolly" or "Bolls." I looked on Wikipedia and there's nothing about it there. Someone who watches it, please refresh my memory?

Actually it is on Wikipedia says Gene starts calling her Bolly short for Bollinger knickers after Bollinger champagne because he thinks she's posh.

Though, I just looked again at the Wikipedia entry for Ashes to Ashes and don't see that anywhere! Where did you find it?
