I dreamed I had a baby buffalo...

Only it was more like a miniature buffalo. It looked like a full-grown buffalo but it was about the size of a border collie. In the dream I had adopted it. It galloped around the house like mad and liked to headbutt things. Sadly it couldn't be trained to stay off the bed when we were sleeping and it was no fun having a small buffalo trample you while you were trying to sleep (hooves hurt!). So we decided to take it out to a local farm and board it, since really, buffalo are not known for being good house pets. :) While we were at the farm, a storm blew up, huge black clouds, wind, tons of lightning and thunder. The buffalo got scared and ran out of his stall into the paddock and I went outside to comfort him (it wasn't raining yet) and while I was out there, off on the horizon I saw a massive, violet-white bolt of lightning hit the ground. And it didn't stop. It just kept going, like a plasma stream special effect. I tried to get the farm people to come out and watch it with me but they were afraid to come out of the barn. For some reason I wasn't.

Around that time I woke up. I suspect I had the dream because our newer cat, Sora, is huge for his age (at nine months he weighs over ten pounds. Riku, our two year old cat, weighs about 6 pounds. And Sora is not fat. He's just incredibly solid.) and galumphs around the house sounding like a tiny buffalo and likes to trample people in bed and he headbutts sometimes. :) Last night it was quite windy, gusts in the 50mph range, and he was freaked out by that which obviously made it into the dream too. Not sure where the lightning came from but it was cool.
