How does one go about checking out a company's business practices?

Kidunit got a resume hit off monster.com from a place called "Impact Worldwide" - they're hiring for a position that they call 'administrative assistant' but it sounds more like data entry, and frankly the payrate and benefits mentioned sound way too good to be true. What's the best way to check out whether they're legit or not? I tried a googlesearch but got a lot of unrelated hits and nothing like I was looking for. Anyone have any hints for refining the search, or other ideas for how to check them out?
