Is it just me...

Or is there something slightly macabre and weird about the History Channel playing a 9/11 special right now? Some cynical part of me wonders if someone in power is reminding us how we're supposed to react to a national tragedy? Saying "Hey, you guys are supposed to be all patriotic and supportive of the government right now."

I'm probably just paranoid, but the last 5 years have kind of made me that way.

ETA: I just realized it could just as easily be seen as an indictment of the current FEMA debacle in comparison to 9/11, so... never mind. :-P
