kelliem: bistro table (bistro)

I almost can't believe they sent Spike home instead of Lisa. On the other hand he has been in the bottom two seven times as opposed to her five. But she's just so unpleasant, and it seems to me that you can't get a worse comment as a chef than "she doesn't seem to care about her food."

I'm very happy to see both Stephanie and Antonia in the final 4 though. They're my favorites, with Richard third mostly because he seems to have been coasting.

Lisa is like the cockroach of Top Chef - can't be destroyed or eliminated. I hate her squinched "oh yeah?" face when she gets her critique.

She really is! That face alone would make me throw her off the show if I was a judge!

Lisa's very unpleasant and she's just not a nice person. I think one needs to be able to cook well but also have good people skills to be a top chef. I hated that Spike had to go home. I think that was the wrong choice.

Amen. I think that's part of what got HungDale canned last week. I would definitely have sent Lisa home this week and kept Spike. If there is any justice in the world, Lisa will be out next week.

Yep, I agree. I think Stephanie or Richard should win.

I know what you're saying, but don't you think, though, that they're sort of invested in getting a woman through to the final and in the victor's spot after so many male winners?

Oh, I absolutely do. However, if Richard really pulled his socks up I bet he could still win, because it would be too obvious if he did really well, yet didn't win.

Right there with you . . . I could not decide which one was more egregious last night. I was pleased that Spike's hubris finally bit him in the ass. I really hope Stephanie wins! I admire her calm and verve, as well as her skills.
