NCIS this time.
So Director Shepard bought it. All I can say is thank goodness. I will not miss her in the slightest. Her character was obviously brought in as a romantic foil for Gibbs and when that didn't play they had to find other things for her to do. Things which were for the most part obstructionist, thoughtless, volatile, emotionally-based, jingoistic and at times downright illegal. She was the poster child for the old patriarchal arguments that women should not be allowed in positions of power, which aggravated my feminist soul no end. So, like I said, I am not at all unhappy with her demise. Though it was kind of ::koff:: overkill ::koff:: that they actually kind of killed her TWICE, once with a disease and once with bullets.
Also, will someone please tell me what agency she and Gibbs were working for that would allow sanctioned assassinations, which have been ILLEGAL for decades? Clearly it wasn't NCIS, since real NCIS agents are cops, not spies.
And setting her house on fire there at the end? Wow. Way to endanger her neighbors while you're covering up your illegal execution, Gibbs and Franks. Speaking of Gibbs... what was the point of his emptying screws and nails out of that jar so he could pour his booze into it and drink out of it? Why not just drink out of the bottle? And speaking of Franks... this guy who is supposed to be the best ever and who is always coming all superior over what he perceives as other people's mistakes... he rents a car using an easily identifiable ID and stays in that car the whole time? Way to go.
As for the team breakup-- I give it three eps in the fall before they resolve it.

However, if Ducky still lives, there's at least one reason to watch. :)
Incidentally, I watched an ep of Jag the other day to see Ron Livingston, and OMG, that was even more obnoxious than I expected. Foreigners=bad. Americans=good. Anything goes, if it's in the cause of Right, which the US has a monopoly on, etc. I should have known, though, so that was my own fault.
Ron looked pretty, in any case. *G*

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Only alcoholics drink out of the bottle?

And I guess that makes me an alcoholic, as I have been known, on rare occasions, to take a swig straight from the bottle.

Just a thought on why Franks did the i.d. so wonky, if the director hadn't thrown Gibbs in his face Franks may not have gone with her so it may have been a heads up to Gibbs as well, sort of a subtle radar ping (or smack) to let him know he was involved/something was up, trusting Gibbs to keep him out of it later.

Ah, I suppose that could be. It at least makes *some* sense.

NCIS finale
And I didn't understand the reason for the fire at her house at all. It just seemed over the top nutball behavior, though Gibbs' mentor Mike does seem more than a little disturbed and disturbing.

As soon as I saw them walking away I knew they were going to say Jenny died in the fire.
Ha ha ha, have they been digging through old CSI eps or something for the 'split up the team' thing?
I will say the scenes with Abby nearly made me cry. She and McGee are the reason I keep tuning in. (And Ziva.)

I love Abby, she's one of my main reasons for tuning in, too.
