I was fairly well spoiled for this ep, but I have to say, they made it work.
I never cared for Owen. Not even after his 'redeeming' arc this season. But he went out with surprising grace and dignity. And Tosh, who I did like, broke my heart.
Now, I just hope they don't spoil everything they did in this ep by miraculously pushing the reset button next season. While it would be nice in some ways, in others it would be a giant cop-out.
Lots of surprises all around in this one. John turning out to be not so bad after all. Grey. Jack's guilt. Unexpected depth. I'm impressed despite myself. This season the show has been light-years better than first.
