kelliem: icy lakefront sunrise (jericho)

Still liking this season of Jericho muchly, but I do have a minor quibble about last night's ep.

Since when is it a good idea to shoot at the guy with an a-bomb in his car????

Also, just because someone told you that your cellphone is secure and hasn't got a GPS tracking device in it, doesn't mean it is. I mean, it probably is, in the show, but I wouldn't have made that assumption. :)

Also? ReGenesis yet again anticipates the news by a year or so.

Heh, that's exactly what I said! "Should they be shooting at the nuclear weapon and trying to run his car off the road?"

Sigh. One episode left. Have you heard anything about them picking it up for another season?

Yes! I know a bullet probably won't actually *trigger* the bomb, but um, what about leaking radiation if you puncture the containment?

I haven't heard anything about another season-- it may depend on how fast CBS is able to get other projects up to speed.

It had been bugging me about the cell phone, because I thought(think) that cell phones had to have GPS included, that this was how the 'system' located the phone in the first place to transmit a call.

Still, I was suitably alarmed that the next target is Cheyenne!

Actually, from what I've read, not all cell phones have them, mostly just the newer and fancier ones. But yeah, the principle still holds. Check it yourself or if you don't know how, have someone who does check it, and disable the GPS if need be.

Next week looks like a doozy!

I still can't believe they killed Bonnie!

I'd been catching up by then - did you know SciFi is/was airing blocks of episodes?? And so I'd seen Bonnie in the very beginning..so sweet, so solid. Such a good person.

I was shocked that she picked up the shotgun and started killing people - not shocked that she would shoot and defend and kill, but alone? I know she was shielding her sister-in-law and the ledger, but she needed back-up, and then she couldn't hear. It was really sloppy of Ravenwood that no one found her sister-in-law.

I confess I was glad that DB Cooper was killed, even if I also understand Beck's and Jake's anger at the lack of trial. (forgive me, I'm still forgetting some character names). One of the past episodes I saw recently featured DB, in full beard and looking right scruffy as he tried to get into Jericho after the boys got some Cipro from a neighboring hospital. He told them "Who do you think will be sent to run this town when the dust settles? ME.. " which really creeped me out when I realized that DB had been on the show before. I don't remember any of the characters remarking on remembering him in this new season. I thought he was new.

Accounting irregularities really get their share of guilty folk!

So now I think Beck might be good, but how is he (or Jake, Hawkins and the Rangers) going to resolve this in an hour? AHHH! Even if Beck turned, it would be hard, and there's Chavez all off in TX - unless that's the dodge, and Chavez and Hawkins knew about the GPS and have it all fitted into the plan....
