Or maybe I should say Old Fandom, all things considered.

I have a new section on my website for Man From UNCLE fiction. Go to my main page here: http://kellie.mrks.org/ and click on the "Man From UNCLE" link in the fandom table.

The story is 288K and it's called "Safe Harbor." Pairing: Napoleon Solo/Illya Kuryakin. NC-17 of course. :-)

A big thank you is due my betas: [livejournal.com profile] ardent_muses,[livejournal.com profile] bluster, and [livejournal.com profile] shayheyred for being kind enough to help me with this monster.

eta: And a big thank you to Linda Cornett for all the tapes, zines, and encouragement!

Oh my. A new 288k Kellie story? It's enough to make me want to go out and watch all the MFU I can just to read it *g*

Well, don't let that stop you. I have a friend who has never seen a single ep and she read it. :-)

Sigh. I'm thinking this might be me by this afternoon. I'd read anything you decided to write, so MFU it is!

I heard so many great things about your writing at Connexions -- you were very missed. It's going to be tough convincing myself to go to the gym tonight instead of heading straight home to read!

Ack! Well, I hope I can live up to the hype!

ack! I didn't mean to do that to you. But that might make a cool challenge. *g*

ROFL! Now there's one you don't see every day!!

"What's the matter, Napoleon?"

"Um... er... I think THRUSH must have given me some new experimental drug or something..."

LOL!!

"What's the matter, Napoleon?"

"Um... er... I think THRUSH must have given me some new experimental drug or something..."

"Here, have a little blue pill I have been developing in the lab."

"Er, Illya, I thought you were a doctor of quantum mechanics."

"Really, Napoleon. It's all science."

And were we right about her writing or what?

(Go check out her dS stuff too!)

Congratulations on getting it done! I forsee a whole bunch of MFU converts just from reading this story.

*happysigh* I owe you longer feedback, but I just want to let you know right away that I loved it. I'm still in a puddle over here.

I'm so glad! I hope it made you feel a little better!

Even though I know nothing about Man From UNCLE I enjoyed your story quite a bit! It had a very amusing plot, hot sex, and was in and of itself pretty damn interesting!

Thank you for the fun story! It makes me want to go out and look for more Man From UNCLE fic.

Thank you! I tried to put in enough detail that it could be read by someone without much if any knowledge of the show. I'm glad you liked it!

There's more MFU fic on the MFU archive: file40.net. It's a little disorganized-- part of the slash stories are in the 'slash' section and part are under the 'new' tab. Also [livejournal.com profile] keelywolfe has some excellent MFU stories on her website.

There was no point in your story where I felt lost. You did an amazing job cluing the reader in. You are so very talented!

And thank you for the links, I tried the stuff on [livejournal.com profile] crack_van and was not overly amused. I'm headed [livejournal.com profile] keelywolfe's way now.

Excellent story, Kellie. And I'm glad to finally find someone who speaks in k's instead of in pages. No one knows what I'm talking about when I say my story is 82k. These Microsoft Word people... :)

LOL! Well, pages are relative, since that number depends on how you set your margins and your font and point size, so I have always used KB as a more accurage gauge of story size.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story. :-)
