Hey guys... I could use some vibes/good thoughts from all of you. My wonderful uber-reliable '97 Subaru Impreza died on the way home last night. I could start it, and it would run until I tried to accelerate, then it would die again. :-( A good samaritan helped me push it into a nearby parking lot, and I've arranged for it to be towed to the repair shop today, but I would really appreciate some 'cheap fix' vibes 'cause I am seriously broke and just really can't handle a major car repair bill right now. :-P

:-P

Best energy I can.

It's a rough month all over the place. What is WITH that? Entropy travels in packs?

Thanks. We have a reciprocal situation with the vibes.

Entropy travels in packs?

I totally want a bumper sticker that says that. :-D

It's just nargles -- easy to shoo away with a flick of your wand. I'm sure of it. *hugs you*

What's amusing is that my keychain is a magic wand sort of thing. :) I appreciate the hugs. {{{hugsback}}}

Hope it's an easy and cheap fix. Damn those cars anyway.

I need new tires and I keep putting it off because how fun it is it to spend what little money you have on cars?

It's a Subaru, it was just having a moment, and when the mechanic looks at it, it'll start right up and he'll look at you like you're a crazy woman and say "Not a problem that I can see"... and you'll get in it and drive off and everything will be excellent!!

That's my vibe!!

I like your vibe. I see you have experience with Subarus. This car has needed the least maintence of any vehicle I have ever owned. I suppose I shouldn't grudge it some now and then. :)

I wish... my son has the Subaru... takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!...

I on the other hand have a DaeWoo... yep, the Edsel of the 21st century... bought it because I was desperate for a frikking working vehicle (long divorce story) and couldn't find a Subaru I could afford... within months after buying it? the company declared bankruptcy... leaving my warranty void and worthless... at least the little MoFo has run like a champ... so, I've got some twisted ~Carma~ going on...

Hope your car karma is good too! ....stupid cars.... >:-/

::sending zoomy Rodney vibes!::

Just something clogged up, I'm sure! a new filter will do the trick!

From: [identity profile] kelliem.livejournal.com

That's what my good samaritan said, since it would start, and run, until I tried to accelerate and then it would stall out. He said he'd had a similar problem recently and it turned out to be the fuel filter. I hope you are both right.

Yikes! More ~~cheap fix~~ vibes. Then again, I had a squeaky steering wheel last week that cost me $2000, so maybe I should keep my car vibes to myself for fear of jinxing you.

cheap fix vibes headed your way. I hope it isn't anything too serious.

Dude, I also have a '97 Subaru (although not an Impreza). It was most concerned when I told it about yours getting sick. It totally sends health vibes to your car.
