[livejournal.com profile] belphebe and I were doing this in email and I thought it would make a fun meme.

What kinds of food and/or drink do you have in your desk (or file cabinet, etc.) at work? I have:

1 bag roasted in-shell unsalted peanuts
1 can Planter's cashew pieces (salted)
Home-made 'everything' bagel chips
1 bag Maple-pecan granola
3 envelopes Kikkoman Tofu-Spinach Miso Instant Soup
1 Nissin Cup o' Noodles (Shrimp)
1 pkg Thai Kitchen Lemongrass & Chili Rice-Noodle Soup
3 pkgs Nissin Chicken Ramen
1 pkg Annie Chun's Udon Soup w/Bok Choy & Shiitake Mushrooms
1 can Campbell's Clam Chowder
1 box Vinta multigrain crackers
Small jar Jif peanut butter (smooth)
Upton Tea Oolong (loose)
Upton Tea Imperial Orange Spice (loose)
Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder tea
Yogi Tea: Ginger
Hazelnut Belgian Cafe instant coffee
Instant Vanilla Chai mix

So, I'm all set if I get snowed in for a few days. :D

I don't usually keep food in my desk...
Only tea.

And the occasional bar of dark chocolate ;)

I mostly have it because I tend to eat lunch at my desk a lot, and it's nice to have things on hand if I forget my lunch at home like I do semi-regularly.

The company frowns on us having lunch at our desk. Not that it stops anyone ;)

And I have no self-control : if I keep stuff, I'll eat it :(
Better not to
'xcept for the chocolate, of course :)

For some reason I really don't have trouble resisting eating the stuff. And it keeps me from going to the snack machine where everything is much less healthy. As for chocolate-- I did have some wonderful hand-made truffles from France that one of my faculty brought back from her trip abroad, but... I finished them. ::is sad::

I usually don't buy from the machines (except for the very occasional bag of chips).

But truffles from France...
I must explore this on my trip next september :)

They make wonderful truffles. On one trip, she brought back truffles that were full of Calvados. Real liquid Calvados. Those were to DIE for.
