Does anyone know of any reputable adult-education type schools who have good online web-design classes? I'm not talking tutorials, but actual classes and possibly the earning of a certificate? Kid-unit would like to get some formal training.
I think that's a bit of a misnomer. MIT's OpenCourseWare makes available the material that professors create for their courses: lecture notes, homework assignments, etc.

MIT doesn't, so far as I know, offer any online classes or any sort of feedback.
Maybe liviapenn or one of the more graphically-gifted people could suggest something?
If I may brag just a little(currently a student) SMWC is a really great place to learn, the W.E.D. program is one of the best distance programs around and one of the oldest. The campus is beautiful, the Profs are very professional and caring, having often gained enough real world experience to make their lessons even more relevant and interesting. It can definatly be a positive experience in and out of the classroom.
