Comments and a question-- all sorta spoilery, so only look behind the cut if you've seen Torchwood eps 1x12 Captain Jack Harkness and 1x13 End of Days.
I loved Captain Jack Harkness. Lovely episode, wonderful Jack backstory, and amazingly, it made me like Tosh, finally. Up until now she's just been kind of... there. Now I like her. And Jack, oh Jack, how can you possibly fail to realize that the hottest, nicest fellow in the place has the hots for you until he practially bashes you over the head with it? That was really kind of sweet. Your guilt at not being able to change what happens to Jack-1 was just wonderfully done. As was your protectiveness about Tosh. You're just a big ol' marshmallow inside. Well, sometimes. ;D Owen? Is still a wanker. There's a character who hasn't grown on me at all. Gah.
In End of Days I liked the fact that pretty much everyone screwed up. Equal opportunity guilt. It was weird how much Bilis Manger reminded me of a gaunt Willam Hartnell. I kept expecting to find out he was an incarnation of the Doctor (or some other timelord). And the look on Jack's face there at the end, when he heard the Tardis... like Bernini's St. Theresa. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out on the next series of Who.
End of Days question: in the scene in the hospital where they're all wearing the biohazard suits and Owen tells the ER doc to start treatment with antibiotics and the doc responds with "That's the treatment for bubonic plague." Did I hear Owen correctly when he responded? I swear he said "That's right, House." in an uber-sarcastic tone. I am pretty sure that's what he said, and I was LMAO at that. ;D
