I don't think I've talked about this much here, but kidunit is into cosplay (costume+play = cosplay). These days mostly for video games, but also some anime and in one very recent instance, American TV (House!). I lend a hand with fitting, hand-sewing (ulnar nerve compression makes it hard for kidunit to do much of that) and whatnot. I think the costumes are pretty damned amazing, if I do say so myself. Anyway, I posted a couple of the House cosplay pix on a tight filter a few days ago because I wasn't sure if it was okay to show them publically, but I got permission to post a few more cosplay pix in my gallery at large so as to show off. :) Gallery is here: http://pics.livejournal.com/kelliem/gallery/00010kfw

The House pix are especially amusing, but Cloud Strife is my favorite, I think. (see below for a teaser)

SO CUTE.
I cannot wait until my kidunit arrives. And, you know, stops making me sick and anxious about labor and...stuff. But I plan to dress her as a Mountie at the first available opportunity. :)

My kidunit still makes me sick and nervous on occasion. ;D

But I feel strongly that dressing them up in costumes at an early age is good for their creative development.

And hopefully your labor and delivery will go as well as mine did. Start to finish, 6.5 hours. Not bad at all. :)

That is speedy indeed!
However, my aunt still holds the record. 4 hours, start to finish. She was 40 and it was her first child.
Pity I'm not genetically related to her. *sigh*

Adorable! I'm sure she's too old to tolerate such talk, so don't tell her I said it. ;)

Oops!

I forgot I don't log in to lj at work. That was me accidentally posting anonymously.
