78 in '79. Al Stewart. 33 in my year was the Bee Gees and "Love You Inside Out", which I don't even remember! (I'm with you; I didn't listen to radio stations that played top 40.) Number one that year was "My Sharona". Oh my!
But then I never was into Top 40/Chart music. Heck, I saw Renaissance live in '79 and not for the first time.
