Elizabeth Bear has posted the prologue and first chapter of her novel "All the Windwracked Stars" here. She will continue posting two chapters a week until the book is finished. It's original fiction, and in the words of the author: In its unified form, it's the first half of a not-a-duology (formerly a not-a-trilogy) collectively entitled The Edda of Burdens. As the name might hint, it's Norse Fantasy. It's also Cyberpunk. Sort of. And periApocalyptic science fiction.
