Though I think Kripke has been reading Philip Pullman's "Dark Materials" series. I mean, seriously, the whole "God has left the building" thing was eerily reminiscent. If God shows up next season with senile dementia, we'll know for sure.

The realization that everyone was just using the boys for their own ends, playing them against each other was so painful. I've been suspicious of Ruby forever, because, well, she's a demon and they don't really change their spots. And I was very very happy that Castiel finally did the right thing. I loved how he kept looking unhappy and furtively avoiding Dean's eyes as Zachariah lied to him.
