Wow, y'all do good work! My mom got out of the hospital on Saturday after a few days of rehab/physical therapy and is doing very well. Her rehab doc, who is in his early fifties, said mom was recovering from her surgery faster than he did.  (Apparently he had the same surgery recently.) When I talked to her this morning she said she feels great, and said it was wonderful to get a night's sleep without someone coming in to take her 'vitals.' Many thanks for all your good thoughts.

In some unrelated and maybe not-so-good thoughts of my own, is it wrong of me to hope whoever set those fires in Australia got caught in them?

Congrats to your mum on her successful op.

And yes, it is probably wrong to hope for that but I'm hoping for the exact same thing and I don't feel ashamed at all!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear your mom is doing so well. That's good news.

And I am absolutely horrified by the reports of arson in the Australian wild fires. I can't even imagine a person who would do such a thing. *shudders*

As I said earlier, I'm really glad your mother is doing so well.

As for the person or persons who set the fires...I am a firm believer in karma. Somehow, some way, they will pay for what they've done.

Oh, God, I didn't realize they were set. FUCK.

Glad to hear about your mom!! Please wish her a fast recovery from me. :)

*g* I'm so glad she's doing well. That's fantastic news!

I hope they, at the least, get caught. I want them publicly vilified!
