Happy Turkey Day to all my fellow Ammurikens. My brother is smoking a turkey (man, that conjures up a weird image!) and I'm making dressing, and pumpkin and bourbon-pecan pies. Mom's got the traditional green bean casserole, the housemate is making mashers, and kidunit wants to bake something in order to try out the new piping set we got at BB&B the other day. Pumpkin bread with a cream-cheese frosting might be nice. Since the turkey leftovers will be going home with the brother, I bought a small one to cook for us on Friday.

Personally, I'm thankful for many things, including decent health, a decent job, and a roof over my head, but at this very moment, I am most thankful for 4 days off in a row. :-D
