ardent_muses and I were at the Cheese Importer's Warehouse buying goodies to take with us on our visit to bluster in Nebraska, my cell phone rang. It was my kidunit, who proceeded to tell me that there's someone who wants to talk to me and hands the phone over to someone else. A man's voice then comes on the line, and he asks me "Do you know someone named Jordan Collier?" Well, out of context I couldn't quite place the name but it did sound familiar, so I said yeees (hedging, and thinking vaguely that it was an actor) and he said "That's me. I play him on The 4400." Yup. It was Bill Campbell, on my very own cell phone! We chatted inanely for a moment or two, he said my kidunit had put him up to the call. Eventually he gave the phone back to khamryn (kidunit), who explained that he was in town visiting relatives and also doing an interview for the magazine my ex publishes and since I watch The 4400 I would get a kick out of hearing from him. I must say he seemed like a very nice guy. :-)
On a more 'common' note, we are having a great time here in Nebraska, the weather is gorgeous and the trees are turning, and the company is grand! Tonight we are going to meetbluster's parents and have dinner at an excellent BBQ restaurant. And it took me about an hour to type this entry on bluster's split keyboard which I am SO not used to!!
