I spoke with
bluster last night, they got the results of the biopsy on her stepfather's lymph gland and things are not good, it's malignant.
They are having a meeting with his docs today to talk about treatment but she suspects that at his age and health status, chemo would be as likely to kill him as the cancer, so they will probably just end up taking him home to live however long he has left. She said 'he doesn't have much fight left in him.' :-(
At this point she's got no clue when she'll be home, but she said to tell everyone she misses y'all a LOT and if they manage to get Bud into a care facility close to home this weekend like they are trying to do, she should be around a little more.
ETA: I will pass along all your good wishes to her next time we talk.
