As I was walking down the hall earlier today, I could hear a professor in a classroom ask: "Who knows who Karl Marx was?" There was a loooong pause, and someone tentatively offers: "He was a sociologist... I think." The professor assures her that she is correct, and goes on to ask "And what was he best known for?" Dead silence. The professor prompts. "Anyone?" More silence. Finally, clearly annoyed, the professor answers her own question. "Marxism. He wrote the Communist Manifesto with Fredrick Engels."

So tonight I played around in Photoshop and made this Separated at Birth pic to share with y'all so you could see why I double-took. :) I'm sure I'm not the first person to remark on this, but it amused me, all things considered.
