Glad you looked around! :) I'm afraid that I'm still experiencing a steep learning curve with my pix being so jumbled and out of order.
One of the pix is of the parental unit feeding the juvenile. It was SO awesome! There are a couple of others of the juvenile hanging out in my front meadow watching me. walking along the wood of the retaining wall. just so lovely with its longer legs and bigger eyes. sizing me up for a snack maybe? it really cracked me up when it was chasing the squirrels. on the ground. I was all like "dude" you can do your awesome raptor thing and swoop down on them! to no avail. maybe they were too big for baby!owl.
I haven't been able to get close enough to this year's brood. Theres a Great Horned Owl in the area and as they reign supreme over all the raptors in the area? I'm guessing everybody else is watching their pecking orders. but I hear them a lot!
