It's snowing here-- lovely fluffy powder snow. I think we've got about eight or nine inches now (actual inches, not Insecure Male Inches). The ski areas must be thanking whatever deity they worship (Mammon, probably ;-D) for the dump they've been getting-- I hear some areas have gotten up to 2 feet of new snow.

I feel lucky that we aren't getting the ice storm that's hitting so much of the country. Ice storms are horrific. I still remember my first- in Maryland in 1990. I'd never seen an ice storm before. I thought the shiny stuff on the front stoop was just rain. Uh, no. Ouch. I hope any of you in ice-storm areas are warm and safe.

If you want a look at the view out my office window, look behind the cut.

(That's the Mary Rippon outdoor amphitheatre, which is nestled between the wings of my building. They hold the Colorado Shakespeare Festival there every summer.) I took that pic this morning around 7:45 am. It's deeper now-- click this link for a view from the Festival's live "Bard Cam" feed. It's kind of fun-- if you watch long enough you might see snow fall off the tree branches. ;D
