kelliem: icy lakefront sunrise (unsettled)

It's frelling snowing. Again. This makes 8 storms in 7 weeks. I begin to understand why people go crazy in the winter.

I WANT MY NICE TEMPERATE COLORADO WINTER WEATHER BACK!

::koff:: Sorry. I know other people have it much worse, so I should not capslock.

Let's see, what else can I ramble on about? House and Bones both disappointed me this week. The performances in House were amazing but the script was written by a monkey on crack, and I am also tired of the two-by-four approach. Bones had me yelling "They wouldn't DO that!" at the TV several times. Has anyone else noticed the fact that the forensic 'experts' on Bones are always handling evidence without gloves? Don't they watch CSI for heaven's sake?

The Top Chef finale was interesting, and though I was not at all surprised by who won, I was a little surprised by how close it was.
I think it really came down to the sous chefs, especially their comments to the judges. I will grant that Marcel is kind of a loon and Ilan definitely seemed more personable, but I have the feeling that if Marcel had been more organized in the kitchen he might've won-- it was Ilan's crew report that put him over the top, because it seemed like the judges liked Marcel's food better (other than the salad).

I was kind of annoyed with Sam when he said the seabeans were his idea. They weren't. Clearly Marcel already had the dish planned out. The only contribution Sam made there was to suggest they serve the dish without the fish. (Though why one of them couldn't have sprinted back to the main kitchen and gotten the fish is beyond me! It wasn't like they were on a different planet!)

I think if Marcel had chosen Frank or Mia to help him instead of Michael, he might've pulled out the win, because both of them had much better organizational skills which would have compensated for Marcel's lack of experience in that area.

Also-- Bostonians? You were afraid of this? Seriously???
