Codec question

The kidunit is having trouble with Windows Movie Maker-- it seems to be missing a codec. Of course, it didn't SAY which codec she was missing. Any suggestions for some less 'standard' codecs would be welcome.

A lot of sites have codec packets that cover a variety of different ones, something like this;

might be just the thing.

Usually when I'm missing a codec, I just download the latest Divx I can find : that has always fixed the problem...

You can try there : http://www.divx.com/

There's a free version. good luck :)
