Eureka 8/26
Huh. So I was sorta right.
There was something up with Alison's necklace. Just not what I thought. Ah well. That was kind of heartwrenching. I'm so glad they're not glossing over what happened to Nathan, it's really nice to see some continuity. Thorne continues to be smarmily evil, but at least it's clear she has more of an agenda than it first appeared. That would have just been annoying, without being interesting. Speaking of being annoying and not interesting...
Does anyone else think Eureka's Degree product-placement crap sucks huge yellow radioactive rocks? What the hell made them think that would be a good idea? When it was just commercials I sort of found it vaguely amusing but then it actually turned up in the show and frankly it's turning me off completely, and I'm a loyal viewer who has loved and pimped the show since the first episode. Way to alienate your viewers, Skiffy! (Smallville did something similar with some kind of chewing gum last season and it was just as annoying, fortunately I quit watching SV regularly years back.)
It's going to be really hard to keep up with what I want to watch this fall. There's too many things on at the same times! I ended up making a spreadsheet showing what I'm hoping to watch. Since I don't have a DVR or Tivo, this is going to be tough.

Also? Some of the networks (I know Fox is one) streams their shows on their websites. Makes it easier to catch up on stuff (and if you use Firefox with Adblocker, you can skip the commercial breaks.)

Yeah, I just never remember to go watch them!

I have no life. Really. Although it is fun to look back and see how my tastes have changed over time. There's some stuff I watched five years ago, I wouldn't watch now for love or money.
::hee::
As for Eureka - I find the commercials annoying, but not quite as annoying as the Free Credit Report jingles ::sporks ears:: but I just couldn't get into the show. I kept wanting to slap people for being so book-smart and real-world stupid. I watch the occasional 5-10 minutes here or there, but I'm not really into it anymore.

And yeah, it's funny the stuff we 'loved' and when we try to watch it again, it... doesn't hold up. Desperation induces some odd viewing choices. ;D

It will be interesting to see what exactly Thorne is looking for. At first, I thought it was something nuclear/radioactive, but maybe that was just camouflage.
