Interspecies communication

This news story: A dolphin has come to the rescue of two whales which had become stranded on a beach in New Zealand. is way cool.

I know there will probably be all kinds of debunking going on, but for the moment, I'm just amazed at the implications.

Debunked or not, it's damn cool. I love the idea that even if they might not "speak" the same language, they were able to communicate enough to keep the whales from dying.

Poor whales all over the world are beaching for reasons we can't figure out. Personally, I think it has to do with the shifts and interruptions in electromagnetism which might be disrupting the sonar they use to echolocate.

Thanks for the link. It's nice to read something with a happy ending for a change.

It may also have something to do with this and systems like it. Grrr.

It was great to read about a beaching that didn't lead to dead whales, wasn't it?

That makes perfect sense. They can't hear their own sonar because of the manmade interference.

Yeah, it is nice to read an article where the whales don't end up dead.

AWWWWW! I love that.

Hey, if they can mate and produce offsrping, they might as well talk to each other. :)

Okay, not the right kind of whale, but still!

Oh hey! That's cool too!
