New Amsterdam was watchable. Certainly not the worst show to come down the pike, but it feels a bit tentative as of yet. (I don't think any of these comments are particularly spoilery so I'm not cutting them.) I'm not sure what narrative purpose the partner serves, since she's not there for UST, and didn't seem to have a lot to do in the ep, but I'll definitely give it time to settle in. Also, they need someone who's better at applying fake facial hair. To my dismay, about 2/3rds of the way through the ep, I realized that Nicolaj Coster-Waldau (I love that name!) looks like a more Hollywood version of a friend of mine's husband so it's a little weird to find him attractive, but I do. ;D

ReGenesis has started it's last season :( and I spent the first episode of it alternating between happiness over all because it's just so darn good, and happiness that Bob was apparently okay, and then trepidation that Bob is maybe NOT okay, and then fear for Carlos! Aaaaigh! ::shakes ReGenesis writers:: How do you keep doing this to me??

And then there was Jericho. Okay, I'll admit it. I was genuinely shocked by last night's ending. I'm so used to them leading us down the garden path in the trailers that I really didn't think anything about their spoilery warning in the commercials. But... but... BONNIE! I can't believe it! At least she acquitted herself well. I was hoping that she'd somehow managed to take out Goetz but the preview for next week showed otherwise, damn it. At least Major Beck seems to be turning out to be a good guy. ::fingers crossed:: (though the IMDB entry for his character is making me curious. He has two names. Major Beck/Col. Hoffman. Which could be an error or could be an indication that there's more going on than meets the eye.)

OMG!!!! Jericho rocked last night. In fact, I've been seriously impressed by the show since its return. I was shocked at losing Bonnie, too. I just didn't see that coming at all. At least they saved Dale from prison, at least for now. I love Major Beck and hope he is a good guy. They need someone on their side.

So after three more episodes, does that mean the show is over? Is it renewed?

I have been really impressed by it, too. I think they're doing a fantastic job. I wonder if everyone concerned isn't working twice as hard because they know how people fought for them. Bonnie- I totally didn't see it coming either. There I was rooting for her as she used that shotgun to great effect, and then... aaagh!! And yes, thank goodness they saved Dale.

I don't think CBS has said one way or the other about next season. All the rumors I had heard said that this was all we'd be getting, ever, but that was before the writer's strike. I know the networks are scrambling to get programming in place for next year now, and a lot of them are apparently greenlighting additional seasons of stuff they normally would not have, just because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, as it were.

Well, fingers crossed, the ratings will be great and we'll get the green light for more. There's so little on TV these days that I actually watch, so it'd be nice to have a series that keeps me interested and keeps surprising me.

Heh, I watched "New Amsterdam" last night too, and I think I was a bit more critical of it than you. But, to be fair, I think it will improve as time goes on. I'm not sure it could get any worse... :-)

It could be bad, I'm not sure yet. It didn't hit any of my squicks, though. I will admit, however, that I seem to have lost my critical thought filter sometime around when I started watching Torchwood... ;-D
