What's In Your Desk?

[livejournal.com profile] belphebe and I were doing this in email and I thought it would make a fun meme.

What kinds of food and/or drink do you have in your desk (or file cabinet, etc.) at work? I have:

1 bag roasted in-shell unsalted peanuts
1 can Planter's cashew pieces (salted)
Home-made 'everything' bagel chips
1 bag Maple-pecan granola
3 envelopes Kikkoman Tofu-Spinach Miso Instant Soup
1 Nissin Cup o' Noodles (Shrimp)
1 pkg Thai Kitchen Lemongrass & Chili Rice-Noodle Soup
3 pkgs Nissin Chicken Ramen
1 pkg Annie Chun's Udon Soup w/Bok Choy & Shiitake Mushrooms
1 can Campbell's Clam Chowder
1 box Vinta multigrain crackers
Small jar Jif peanut butter (smooth)
Upton Tea Oolong (loose)
Upton Tea Imperial Orange Spice (loose)
Celestial Seasonings Morning Thunder tea
Yogi Tea: Ginger
Hazelnut Belgian Cafe instant coffee
Instant Vanilla Chai mix

So, I'm all set if I get snowed in for a few days. :D

I don't keep food in my desk, usually, because I can't eat during class. But I always have mints and I steal apples and cheese sticks from the kitchen to eat in secret!

because I'm changing jobs (OMG, next week!), I dragged everything home already - but normally I keep instant oatmeal (maple/brown sugar), a couple sorts of tea (always Stash lemon ginger and often something else), sugar cubes, some sort of chocolate for stressed days, asstd granola bars and usually a bottle of water, just in case. when I get settled in again, I'll probably consider adding crackers & peanut butter, as those are very sensible and good quick snacking.

Dude, I want to get snowed in with you. I think I have half a package of granola bars, a tin of Earl Grey tea, and a half-canister of sugar. Oh, wait! I do have a package of Spicy Peanut Noodles.

OTOH, I have definitely not been bringing stuff in to work lately. *G*

Gee, that list looks familiar. :-)

I think I'll go post my list now.

Granted, I just started this job 4 weeks ago, but the only things I have in my desk are Dove sugar-free chocolates and some sugar-free pinwheel mints. :)

I don't usually keep food in my desk...
Only tea.

And the occasional bar of dark chocolate ;)

home-made 'everything' bagel chips?

[identity profile] belphebe.livejournal.com 2007-08-17 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Please explain the bagel chips. How did you make them (or did someone else make them)? I'm assuming the 'everything' is because you used 'everything bagels' not because you put everything on them!

Nothing; there is a restaurant at my work place, where the fare is quite decent and paid by our administration for a half of the price. No need to have lunch anywhere else.
